How to register a new Mosino device

Overview

Every Mosino device, once connected to power and network displays a 6-digit registration code the first time it is turned on. This code is required to associate the device to the system so it can pull all the configuration from the cloud.

The following devices can be registered

  • Intercom

  • In-Suite Hub/Tablet

  • Kiosk

  • Community/Signage Screen

Prerequisites:

  • In order to register a new device, the device and the user's device must be connected to the internet.

  • The user must also have access to the Mosino Staff Hub portal. The link to the portal may vary on different customers/regions. Please speak with your Mosino rep to provide you the correct link, if you do not already have the access.

  • The user must already have a Mosino account to access the portal.

Registration

Once everything is setup, to register the device, go to "Access & Security" menu option and select "Devices". The menu setup/layout may be different based on property configuration and/or language.

Step 1

Once in the devices page, Click the dropdown list and select "Registration". This will show a panel to choose the type of device being registered. Select the device type and the following panel will request further information.

Step 2

In the Registration Panel, enter the Code being displayed on the screen. This code changes constantly therefore, ensure the code entered in the panel is the same being displayed on the screen at the time of registration.

Once the code is entered, enter the Apartment/ Screen #. This information would generally be provided by the Mosino rep. However, the field allows autocomplete option to search for this information but entering some text. Once the information is selected from the autocomplete, press the Register button.

Step 3

Once the register button is pressed, it sends the information to the device to complete the registration process. A message will be displayed on the screen that the device will refresh. Within 10-20 seconds, the device should be registered and ready to be used. In case, the message remains displayed for more than 60 seconds, manually reset the unit.
